How to Install V97 IDS Software?
Please install V81, V91 IDS software on your computer.
1. First install V81 Calibration files and then V86 IDS software
2. Install V91 IDS software, if the software displays 3 day trial prompt, then continue to install IDS V96 software, otherwise quit software installation and use another laptop to re-install software
3. After well install V96 IDS software, you can install IDS V97 software.
4. You should update VCM2 firmware (following instructions below)
If you already have VCM2 IDS V96 software installed, then directly install V97 IDS software and update your VCM2 firmware.
How to Update Ford VCM 2 Diagnostic Tool Firmware?
1. Please press your device power button.
2. Long-press the power button, connect to VCM2 device power supply, wait for all 4 indicators turn on, then release the button. Then connect VCM2 device with computer via USB cable.
3. Run the IDS software, system will prompt to update firmware. Wait the update procedure finished.
4. Restart your computer when the firmware update is completed. Connect VCM2 device with your car to start diagnosing or programming functions.
